Marjorie Sheppard

Without this person there would be no High Hope’s, her dedication is the reason 100’s of riders have been able to undergo hippotherapy and steadily improve their conditions through the enjoyment and riding of horses.

Marjorie is passionate about horses and their welfare

Her passion for horses is rivaled only by her belief that disabled people should be given every chance  to take part in and succeed at horse riding.

For more  than thirty years she had  dedicated  most of her leisure  time to that end, working with Riding for the Disabled and Special Olympics Great Britain. She is well known in both organisations for her passion and commitment.

Her enthusiasm has led her to organise holidays and to take people of all ages and abilities away for weekend competitions. She believes that  taking part in social  activities and building confidence and independence is just as important as competing in the riding events.
